In My Amos 9:13 Season Being that I'm in the midst of my Amos 9:13 Season, why not sow seed? Just got finished sowing that seed. Yep, the car Joey gave me. I know I'm on different turf. And while I'm thankful for the blessing, I knew I'm in another space. There's damage in the front and the back of the car that is not a part of the next season of my life. Well, it's not really the next because I am already in it. Like the heading states, I'm in my Amos 9:13 Season. Already, amazing things have been happening, with the two new printers that I have harvested. The Oki c-711 White Toner Printer. Plus, the Sawgrass 500. Ooohhh weee. So I ask again: why not sow seed? I'm looking forward to what God will do. Stay tuned.

Oh Ye Faithful

Oh Ye Faithful    Oh Ye Faithful Slides  I am saying goodbye to my slides that took me through the first part of the pandemic. From mid-March until this past Saturday, 9/26/2020. My primary footwear has been the above pictured slides. I wore them as I Instacarted throughout March till August. I just wanted to give my slides some love because they were so comfortable and I just slide in them, sometimes with socks on, and they took me everywhere I needed to go. Thanks, Oh Ye Faithful Slides. You served me extremely well.

Breonna Taylor

Breonna Taylor  Justice for Breonna I saw the above bumper sticker, "Abuse an animal, go to jail" and I'd like to have lost my mind. How is it that people can go to jail for abusing an animal and there's no just for someone who was murdered while at home, in her apartment, sleeping in her bed? Where is the justice for Breonna? I heard it said by one commentator that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Huh? She was in her bed. At home, in her bed. How could that possibly be the wrong place? What time would be the right time?  I do not care about her choice of boyfriends, ex, present, whatever the case may be. None of my business. What concerns me is the fact that there appears to be an abuse of power running rampant throughout the land. Nothing new, but geez. I'd like to have thought things had calmed down considerably. NOT SO! This is inexplicable. And like I previously intimated, to add insult to injury, it seems like animals have more rights and regard

You Tubing

You Tubing Decided to jump "all in," to what's available to me, that's at my disposal. YouTube is one of the things with which I am familiar and am going to make use of much more in the upcoming days. The above video is me, speaking about "Watch Your Mouth" (Your Life Depends on It), a new book I'm formulating, and letting flow through me. It's about a 17 minute video. I'm just kind of testing the waters again. A few years ago, I made a video of my mom. My niece (who was about three at the time) tickled my mom's feet. Matter of fact, let me drop that video here. First let me start by saying the above 17-minute video only has three views, thus far. I'm working on broadening my social media presence, and growing organically. Okay, so let me drop that other video. From Back in Tha' Day It's from May 6, 2012. I was testing the waters back then and was amazed at how fast that video hit one thousand views, and travelled around the worl

Long Live the Queen

Long Live the Queen A few years ago, a cousin of mine said, "Long Live the Queen," not referring to the Queen of England. Rather, she was celebrating of one of my mom's recent birthdays. I have since adopted the phrase, and use it quite frequently. I had already been practicing everything I could to ensure that my mom lived a long life. She had done her part (in many ways) but about a decade ago, she passed the baton to me, entrusting herself into my care, and I thankfully remain at my post. One of the main things that helps me throughout this marathon of the vicissitudes of eldercare is God's Word. Back in the 1984, I was introduced to a contemporary spiritual giant, the late Kenneth E. Hagin, sometimes affectionately referred to as "Papa Hagin." I had the honor of being in his presence, as he preached at Crenshaw Christian Center, during a weeklong series of teaching during the year that marked his 50th anniversary in ministry. One of the books that he h

WATCH YOUR MOUTH My Facebook post from yesterday about "Watch Your Mouth" (Your Life Depends on It) drew such swift and compelling responses that I decided to blog about this and use this platform to unleash the info I've compiled, thus far. I'll take it on a day-by-day, gradual basis, but I just wanted to prep for it. It's important, mainly because of the subheading; YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. So, I'm not going to waste any time. I'm going to jump right in, starting tomorrow. Feel free to follow along. I won't post any more lengthy posts on FB. I'll just drop said long posts here....

Jean Givan Chronicles

Jean Givan Chronicles So My Journey Begins AGAIN Here I am, in the midst of this COVID pandemic, and in the midst of my 10th year of providing primary care to my 90-year old (soon to be 91 years old) mom, and I am embarking on another transitional life journey, yet AGAIN. This is goood. I'm just writing, right now. Free writing. Let me not be rude... Let's begin with a formal introduction.  WHO AM I? My name is Jean Marie Givan. I am a 57 year old straight woman. Never married, no kids. That clarification is necessary nowadays because people sometimes think I'm gay because I'm single, and I have no kids. Nope.   I was born and raised in Queens, NY. Born in Jamaica, NY (Mary Immaculate Hospital, which no longer exists), and I was raised in Hollis, Queens. Went to school (from kindergarten to 4th grade) at St. Pascal's. Then I wanted a taste of public school, so I went P.S. 118 for the 5th grade. I went to I.S. 238 for the 6th grade. Then I went back to Catholic Scho
